Kidnapped at 9

During an interview, the actress shared how she can vividly remember how she was kidnapped by her father when she was just nine years old. She recalled how he was brought by his father to America by presenting a document with a forged signature of her mother. After Pilita Corrales filed a report to the NBI, her mother was able to successfully get her.

Became a singer at 14

Jackie Lou was a big fan of her mother. She fondly reminisces the time that she got to watch all the shows of her mother and memorize all her songs. No wonder, she began her singing career at 14, emulating the footsteps of the Asia’s Queen of Songs. Sadly, after realizing how big the shoe she has to fit in with all the achievements of Corrales, she later on turn to acting where she eventually fell in love.

 Became a girlfriend of Martin Nievera in 1982

Jackie Lou and Pilita Corrales contributed a lot to the success of Martin Nievera. Martin later on courted Jackie Lou and the two stayed together for quite some time, they even had plans of marrying each other.

Married at 11

The absence of Snooky Cerna during the GMA Supershow resulted to the love story of Jackie Lou and Ricky Davao. Ricky was supposed to sing to Snooky during the show but because the actress failed to appear during the shooting, Jackie Lou was instantly pulled to replace her. There then started the love affair of the two. After several years, Ricky surprised the veteran actress by marrying her on her birthday – February 11. Take note, they got married without the presence of their parents!

Separated 13 years after

Sadly, after13 years of being together Ricky and Jackie Loud suddenly found themselves talking seriously about finally separating ways. From the interviews gathered on both sides, both claimed that they just found themselves no longer sharing the same intimacy as they had before and therefore decided to remain as friends.

Focused on her 3 kids

After their separation, she focused her attention on their three kids by giving them the love they deserve. She makes sure that she gives time to each of them, especially to one of her daughters who has finally confessed her identity as a lesbian. Rumors has it that Jackie Lou planned on transferring to another network; but the veteran actress explained that even when she was still part of the Kapuso center, she has always considered herself as a Kapuso. At her age, she can no longer imagine herself going elsewhere. Just last year, the actress surprised everyone on her birthday when by uploading a photo of her on Instagram flaunting her body in a two-piece maroon bikini. She recalls having to wear such kind of outfit twenty years ago. In an instant, she became a fitspiration to many given how she maintained her body at 54. It can be remembered that she became the winner of the Slimmer’s World Great Bodies Competition in 2001.

During an interview, Jackie Lou shared how she dreamt of portraying a gay character.
