6 Things To Keep In Mind During Halloween

Halloween is right around the corner, I know you’re excited for the long weekend!

But this season is the time for us to remember the people who have been a huge part of our lives but now have passed on to the next life.

This is also the time for us to bond with our respective families as we reminisce about the memories of the people who have gone too soon.

If you are like most of us who would go to the different cemeteries to visit them one by one, remember these 6 things to keep you safe during this crowded affair.

Keep your house protected

Before leaving your home, lock all the doors and windows to prevent burglars from coming in and stealing all your items. It is always nice to have someone watch over your house while everyone’s away. Also, remember to unplug all appliances, turn off the lights and the LPG to prevent starting fire from your house.

Do not bring too much stuff

Use a small bag and keep it close to your body as you hustle your way through the crowd. Pickpocketers may use this occasion to take advantage of our busyness, so only bring the things that you will need.

Remember to bring your mobile phone, some cash, tissue paper, wipes, eucalyptus oil (just in case someone faints), and some biscuits (in case you get hungry).

Bring water

Keep yourself hydrated all the time. Bringing along your own water with you will save you from getting too thirsty during the day. A bottle of water should always come in handy especially if the sun is out.

Leave the illegal items behind

Do not bring sharp objects, drugs, and alcohol. Gambling is also prohibited inside the cemetery. While this information is already standard, some people sneak some of these illegal items in. If you find suspicious activities, report them to the police immediately.

Avoid driving to the destination

You can help minimize the heavy traffic situation during that time by commuting or walking to the cemetery if it is near your house. Parking spaces are also scarce during that time so it is so much better if you travel on foot.

Report suspicious activities

Every cemetery has a post for police officers on standby. If you see suspicious activities, help by reporting them to authorities. It is also inevitable to find some lost child in the area. You may also report that to them.
