Everything You Need To Know About Toong’s AO Farm

Summer is officially here! As much as I want to hit the beach so badly already, beach trips take too much work to plan on. Living in the city means that the beach is 30 to an hour (or two) away. You need to calculate your expenses on food, transportation, entrance fees and to make the trip more fun, you would want to invite more people to join you. It is fun to be at the beach, but it can be a lot of work sometimes, especially if you have no private ride.

However, what is a nice summer sun without even stepping outside of the house to actually absorb some fresh, sun heat?

Now, I know that I have written several farm articles already, but it is because farms are a thing for wandering feet right now. It is refreshing, easy to go to, and ideal for quick, energizing breaks.

AO Farm provides an avenue for city residents to enjoy a rural-like environment, just minutes away from the noisy city streets. The farm is filled with plants, of course. From there, you can see the nice scenery of the sun over our mountain ranges.

AO Farm may not be as bright as Sirao, but it is a calming place for you and your kids to enjoy. They have a playground, a fish pond, and a butterfly garden to add value to the attraction.

Reminders

An old saying says, “Leave nothing by footprints, take nothing but pictures, kill nothing but time.” It is the ultimate rule when it comes to traveling. Always remember to take your trash with you until you find a proper trash bin. Never pick flowers, or anything that you don’t own (except trash), and do not smoke in non-smoking areas.

These are all common house rules but are often disregarded. To keep the farm beautiful, please keep these reminders in mind. 🙂

How to get there

The farm is in Barangay Toong, Cebu City. You can easily reach AO Farm from Punta Princesa. Get on one of the habal-habals, pay 20 pesos per person (1 habal-habal can take up to 3 persons but best if you ignore the third spot for safety purposes).
