First Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit Center to Teach Parents Along with Their Kids Opens in Cebu

The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is actually a global organization that has various non-profit programs. In the Philippines, it aims to help Filipino children with basic needs including education, shelter, and even “happiness”. Their Bahay Bulilit centers takes care of the education aspect of this goal but just today, they have gone beyond the norm of educating kids by opening the first center that actually has a facility for the parents to learn livelihood programs as well.

This Bahay Bulilit center has opened at Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City and is actually the 3rd daycare in Cebu. The other 2 are located at Labangon Elementary School in Cebu City while the other one is inside Mandaue City’s Social Welfare Services area.

The Pajo center can accommodate about 60 daily divided into two sessions (mornings and afternoons). This happens on the 1st floor of the facility while the 2nd floor will be where parents can learn their livelihood skills.
