Google Philippines recognizes the important role of effective communications the war against Covid-19. This prompted them to launch a site dedicated to terms related to the virus in both Cebuano and Tagalog – two of the most commonly spoken languages in the country.
The Cebuano terms on the site were provided by Hannah Marie R. Aranas, a Literature teacher from the University of San Carlos.
The site is aptly named “Isang Gabay sa mga Salitang Kaugnay ng COVID-19” and can easily be accessed by anyone who has internet by simply going to its website address – diksyonaryongcovid19.com
The site is constantly being updated but at the time of this writing it already has about 114 entries.
