Myboat: Perfect Alternative Route from Cebu to Naga

After winning the Business Plan of the Year, Chief Executive Officer Nelson Mejia, is now ready to put into realization his dream of creating a greater impact to the community by providing a solution to one the city’s most terrible problem – traffic. Maximizing the coastal advantage of Cebu, Mejia came up with a vessel that can cater up to 64 passengers from Cebu City to Naga City.

MCE Shipping Lines will hold its inauguration this February 19 to prepare its first trip this coming March. Strictly following the mandate provided by Maritime Industry Authority on boat modernization, Myboat has been built using fiberglass and steel frames and is expected to make 16 – 18 trips a day from 5:30am to 7:30pm when the traffic is expected to build up. The Boardwalk in Naga City and Pier 3 will be utilized as port areas while they are still working on the authorization of the President to use the Malacanang sa Sugbo as alternative.

Myboat is MCE’s contribution to the 2050 Roadmap of Mega Cebu and Metro Cebu Transport Masterplan. With eight more vessels to deploy, it is sure to help workers and students arrive on their destination on time and without the hassle.
