Whenever we hear the word Siquijor, probably the first two things that come to mind are witchcraft and white sand beaches. A lot of Filipinos consider Siquijor as a mystical island because of its mountain-dwelling spiritual healers who make traditional medicines for different kinds of ailments. However, the island has plenty more to offer when it comes to natural beauty and natural attractions. Natural attractions include not only white sandy beaches but also waterfalls, caves, and forest walks in the hills.

Speaking of the hills in Siquijor, there’s a nice cozy place where you guys can stay, right in the middle of the island – the Canjahawon Nipa Hut Homestay. It’s a Bed & Breakfast accommodation with a nice balcony where you can have a splendid view of the mountains as well as a nice garden view.

The place is very different from the usual hotels that travelers stay in when going on a vacation. Canjahawon Nipa Hut Homestay is run by awesome, friendly, helpful people! It’s a quiet, cool place, surrounded by forest, fields, hills, caves. The huts are traditional Filipino kubo style made from strong wooden materials and give it a much more primitive vibe.
