Sunrise Watching at Lagunde Beach Resort in Oslob

Oslob is famous for being the home for the gentle giants– whale sharks.

Many of us may have probably been to Oslob only to experience the sharks, but have you ever booked a nice resort nearby, on the spot, and actually find the stay pleasing?

Lagunde Beach Resort

Lagunde Beach Resort is a very simple resort located along the waters of Oslob, Cebu. I searched the entire internet to book a place in Oslob but every single one was full and Lagunde didn’t show up in the search results. Luckily, we passed by it and found a small signage.

As we entered the big gate, we were greeted by their friendly pets.

They have a mini zoo and it felt so nice to see their staff take care of animals. Their staff was very friendly as well. You know you’re in good hands.

Rooms

They have rooms that are good for two to three persons (Luxe Room), four persons (Deluxe Room) and more rooms that can accommodate a much bigger group. They have a Family/Barkada room good for four to six people, six to eight and a Villa good for twelve to fourteen pax.

Honestly, there was nothing extraordinary about the rooms. However, the experience, the staff, the food and the serenity we needed were all present.

Rates

The rooms were okay, nothing fancy. The room rates are very reasonable.

Day use is also available for those who won’t be staying overnight at the resort. The entrance fee already includes the use of their swimming pool, access to the beach, fast Wi-Fi and parking space.

When we went there, nobody was using the pool. It seemed like we rented the entire place only for a few bucks! The resort was also very relaxing and serene although it was extremely hot. There was no unnecessary noise anywhere (except us because we rented the karaoke machine) so we can clearly hear the waves from the sea.

Sunrise

This site has the best view of the sunrise. At 5 AM, people would go out of their rooms to watch the sun and say hi while having their breakfast along the beach.

Food

Speaking of breakfast, the food that they serve in their cafe won’t disappoint you. After a long day of swimming, you just want to rest and eat, right?
