About CHED Scholarship 2021

To ensure that all Filipinos are given equal opportunities to pursue higher education, CHED Scholarship 2021 was created to provide financial assistance to students who are currently enrolled in authorized public and private Higher Education Institutions. To qualify, applicants shall enroll in any of the priority courses stipulated in CHED Memorandum Order No. 1 series of 2014.

CHED Scholarship 2021 Benefits

The financial assistance that the Commission on Higher Education shall cover the tuition and other fees (book/connectivity allowance) plus stipend which shall be provided to the scholars or through HEIs per semester of a given academic year until the completion of the degree program.

For universities and colleges that follow the trimester or quarter system, the total amount of financial assistance stated in the tables above shall be distributed proportionately depending on the type of scholarship availed.

CHED Scholarship 2021 Qualifications

For applications to be considered, applicants must:

  • be a Filipino citizen
  • graduate Senior High School student with a general average of 96% (for Full State Scholarship Program and Full Private Education Student Financial Assistance) and 93% (for Half SSP and Half-PESPA)
  • have a combined annual gross income of parents/guardian of not more than P400,000 – in case the income exceeds, the applicant must present a written certification or medical findings or illness of a family member, or school certifications of two or more dependents enrolled in college
  • avail of only one government-funded financial assistance program

Requirements for CHED Scholarship 2021

  • Certified True Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Duly certified true copy of high school report card for incoming freshmen students eligible for college (Senior High School Graduate)
  • Duly certified true copy of grades for Grade 11 and 1st semester of Grade 12 for graduating high school students
  • Any of the following documents as proof of financials:
    • latest income tax return of parents or guardians
    • Certificate of Tax Exemption from Bureau of Internal Revenue
    • Certificate of Indigence either from their Barangay or Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)
    • Case Study report from DSWD
    • Latest copy of contract or proof of income may be considered for children for children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and seafarers
  • In case you belong to a special group, do include the following documents as well:
    • Persons with Disability (PWD) under RA 7277
    • Solo Parent and/or their dependents under RA 8972
    • Underprivileged and homeless citizens under RA 7279
    • Senior Citizen under RA 9994
    • Indigenous People under RA 8371
