Here’s What You Have to Know About TESDA National Language Skills Center

This year, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) once again offers its language training program for those who want to unlock the doors to global connections. Geared towards advancing the competitive edge of Filipino workers here and abroad, TESDA has introduced foreign language training courses to help Filipinos adopt and adapt to the country’s language and culture.

In 2021, TESDA’s National Language Skills Center was able to produce 1,148 graduates with English Proficiency in Customer Service, Japanese Language and Culture, and Spanish Language for Different Vocations.

On its latest social media post, TESDA opens its doors to new learners who are interested in learning Basic Korean Language and Culture (100 hours), English Proficiency for Customer Service Workers (100 hours), Japanese Language and Culture (150 hours), Japanese Language and Culture Level III (300 hours), and Spanish Language for Different Vocations (100 hours).

Training sessions are scheduled from Monday to Friday, starting at 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (morning session) and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. (afternoon session). Interested applicants must submit the following qualifications:

  • must be 18 years old and above;
  • must be a Filipino citizen; and
  • at least a high school graduate (old curriculum)/ senior high school graduate (new curriculum)/ Alternative Learning System (ALS) Graduate.

Documentary requirements usually include a college or high school diploma, TOR, NSO birth certificate or marriage certificate, ID pictures with white background, and career profiling (to be scheduled during enrolment).
