As a hippie momma, I’m all for anything that is environment-friendly and for sustainability. I’m glad that more and more people are becoming eco-conscious and are mindful of what they consume as well as what they put out. Another great thing is that slowly, businesses and establishments are also embracing this idea of being eco-friendly; one of which is the Carcar Eco Farm Resort.
We’re excited to be introducing to you the first-ever hotel in Cebu to have accommodations made out of upcycled container vans. The hotel and resort aim to promote the 4Rs – reduction, reuse, recycling, and recovery. They transformed container vans into a three-story hotel and as cottage roofs.

The hotel currently has 10 rooms and more rooms are being constructed. The rooms are located beside the pool for the convenience of the guests. They are also building board rooms and a conference hall for meetings, functions, and events.
Carcar Eco Farm resort also has installed solar panels as a source of energy. They advocate the sustainability of our future through this smart choice. As well as promoting healthy living – by offering guests the options of freshwater fishing and vegetable picking. I think it’s also a nice form of bonding with your friends and loved ones, catching and gathering your own food.
I personally think that solar panels as a source of energy are a very clever way to utilize natural resources. Solar energy represents a clean and green source of energy and solar power is a great way to reduce our carbon footprint. There’s nothing about solar power that pollutes mother nature. It doesn’t release any greenhouse gasses; it just needs a source of clean water to function and that’s it – making it safe and environmental-friendly.

Swimming Pool A – situated near the Container Van hotel and suited for a small group. The pool is surrounded by umbrella tables and cottages. A lifeguard will also be on standby in the post.
Swimming Pool B – near the fishing area and the grotto. Swimming Pool B has a more intimate feeling and is suggested for big group use
Grilling Station – guests can grill fish, chicken, pork, beef, and veggie skewers in our grilling station. You’ll have to bring your own charcoal.
Grotto – for those who wish to spend some alone time, you can visit their grotto
Resto – guests can buy snacks, beverages, and affordable meals at the resto;

Freshwater Fishing – A fun and exciting activity for the family. Go and catch tilapia, the resort weighs your catch, you pay and then cook the fishes as you please
Leisure Fishing – A bigger area for fishing is on its way
Organic Fruits and Vegetables Picking – Have you ever thought of picking fresh produce? In Carcar Eco Farm will soon bring us Cebuanos this fun and exciting activity. Soon, you’ll be able to grill veggie skewers after picking them.
Garden for events – For those looking for an affordable venue for special occasions or events, the resort offers eco-friendly spaces. The resort is currently developing a garden, balcony party space, and a ground party space.
Intimate Garden Wedding – The garden is specially intended for an intimate garden wedding that can accommodate 50 to 200 pax.
Balcony Party Space – The space is ideal for night parties and stargazing.
Ground Party Space – The space is ideal for morning open parties and other birthdays.
Soon, the Carcar Eco Farm Resort will also be introducing more projects under a joint venture with the University of San Carlos’ Biology Department for the school’s educational tour. These are the following:
Mushroom Culture – introducing mushrooms; as they are packed with nutrients, low in calories, and are great sources of fiber and protein
Butterfly Garden – appreciate life and experience beauty inside the sanctuary; you will find colorful and beautiful butterflies here soon
Carcar Eco Farm Resort is located in Villa Anunang, Liburon, Carcar City, Cebu
CAR: The fastest and most convenient way to get to the resort is through a private or rental car. Just search Carcar Eco Farm Resort on Google Maps or Waze and follow the directions.
BUS: Go to the Cebu South Bus Terminal and get on a bus bound for Carcar. Tell the driver or conductor to drop you off in Liburon. When you get to Liburon, you can take a habal-habal and ask the kuya to take to you the resort.
